Friday was graduation day for Ontario Safety Town students entering kindergarten this fall.

The program is held at Stingel Intermediate School in Ontario from Monday through Friday and is in its 34th year of existence.

Ontario Safety Town Director Bridgette Vavra says the Springfield Township Fire Department and Ontario Police Department give the students instruction.

And, she says the Community Action Center helps with puppets that teach the students many things like "stranger danger," appropriate behavior between adults and children, how to use 911 in case of an emergency, and how to enter and exit a school bus properly.
