The Huron County Sheriff's Office says an armed person made with an undisclosed amount of money after robbing the New Haven Friendship Marathon station shortly before 4 a.m. Frdiay.

The gas station and mini mart is located at 2700 U.S. 224 in New Haven.

Sheriff's officials say a white male or female entered the station wielding a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk.

The suspect was wearing a makeshift mask and hooded sweatshirt. The suspect left the store on foot and fled the area in a vehicle.

Sheriff's deputies searched the immediate area to no avail.
